About MOAC

This blog’s name was inspired by the old English meaning of Sheldon. Sheldon was originally a place name meaning steep sided valley. Later, it became used as a surname and then as a given name. The meaning then broadened to include, man residing on a steep slope…. or more dramatically, “Man On A Cliff”

MOAC is, by definition, about my experiences and seeks to embrace the philosophy that even the simplest human life is, by default, a great adventure; sometimes dangerous and often precarious…. much as the image of a man clinging to a cliff evokes.
